This one was really just for fun and to see if I could even come close to creating something that wasn't entirely abysmal. And yes, my hubris led me to attempt writing book, lyrics, and score. The thing is, I don't think it's terrible, and I’m hoping one of our local theatre troupes may give it a go in 2026.

The story is set in a post-WWII, down-at-the-heel Hollywood boarding house, and centers on a triangle between a young would-be actor, a promising young screenwriter, and an older, established leading man. Misleading Men was (loosely) influenced by the account of how Rock Hudson's agent, Henry Willson, tossed Tab Hunter under the bus to save Rock from being outed by Confidential magazine, and by the history of the House Un-American Activities Committee's Hollywood blacklist.
